Tanka Girl

Tanka is a Japanese poetry form. Haiku Nurse, Nurse Fusion and Tanka Girl are owned and operated by Julie Mae Madsen.

Jesus died for you
without blood, no safety found
the army wants you
redemption found on a pew
recruitment found in high school

If I tried to draw
a straight line from me to you
would I ever find
another person who likes
tanka the way that you do?

[How can this be promoted as a form of communication and past-time?]

One of the reasons I like Tanka Girl, and visit regularly, is how Tanka Girl uses Tanka as diary. I also appreciate the ordinary English that is used, the glimpses into her life, which are familiar and resemble much of my own life; they are the life of these times.

I think the way to promote this is to simply let other people know that it is here. Tell a friend or two. Word of mouth is the best way, I suspect.
